Louis De Leon,
Corporate Counsel
In his current position Mr. De Leon is responsible for running the
company's legal organization. His law practice entails international
law, labor and employment law, corporate law, government procurement,
bankruptcy, and environmental law. He also has extensive experience in
public relations and commercial sales and marketing and supports the
company in these areas.
Before joining
ELVIEinternational
corporation, Mr. de Leon worked to establish Hampden Pait Holdings,
Ltd., and Global Bonding Group, LLC. He also opened The De Leon Law
Firm, P.C. handling corporate litigation, bankruptcy, and real estate
law. Before opening The De Leon Law Firm, Mr. de Leon worked as the
geographic marketing manager for Anheuser-Busch, Inc. Mr. de Leon was
responsible for Anheuser-Busch=s Latino and Urban marketing programs
for Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Oregon, and Washington. Prior to his
position in marketing, Mr. de Leon managed sales efforts for the
Northern and Southern Arizona territory for Anheuser-Busch with total
annualized case sales of 11 million cases. Before sales, Mr. de Leon
was the corporate relations director for Anheuser-Busch Companies for
California and the Northwest United States. In California, he was
responsible for Anheuser-Busch=s liaison for philanthropic
commitments, including involvement with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.
He also participated in the development and implementation of
public-relations programs in California. Before becoming corporate
relations director, Mr. de Leon was an associate general counsel with
Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis where he handled antitrust, liquor law
compliance, corporate and international legal matters.
Before joining Anheuser-Busch, Mr. de Leon had practiced law with the
Regional Counsel Office of the Department of Veterans Affairs and
with the law firm of Kutak Rock in Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. de Leon was
also a legislative assistant on Capitol Hill to United States Senator
Dennis DeConcini and served as a judge advocate in the United States
Air Force.
Mr. de Leon recently retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United
States Air Force Reserve and was assigned to United Stated Southern
Command. In 2004-2005 Lt Col de Leon was deployed to the US Military
Group in Bogotá, Colombia in support of Plan Colombia. In 2010, Lt Col
de Leon served on an Operation Enduring Freedom Tour. Mr. de Leon
earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Notre
Dame and a juris doctorate from the University of Arizona. His
Professional Military Education includes Squadron Officer’s School,
Air Command and Staff College, and Air War College. |
